Karolina Lukasiewicz is a sociologist specialized in migration studies, urban poverty and policy analysis. She is a visiting scholar at McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research at New York University from the Center for Evaluation and Public Policy Analysis at the Jagiellonian University in Poland. She received a PhD in sociology from the Jagiellonian University, a graduate degree in political sociology from Dalarna University in Sweden, and training in quantitative research methods from the University of Michigan. Lukasiewicz has nearly ten years’ research experience in analyzing public policies. Recently she has participated in a research project on urban poverty in New York City.
